A third-person action game where time decides who you become.

Obsidian Divide is a narrative-driven third-person action experience centered on duality, pressure, and control. You do not play a hero destined to save the world. Instead, you inhabit a single body torn between two opposing forces—Human and Demon—each struggling for permanent control.

Every action you take strengthens one side and weakens the other.
There is no balance forever.
There is no neutral ending.

When the struggle ends, someone always wins.

🌓 Core Concept

You control Obsidian, a being caught between two existences after the fallout of an ancient war.

• The Human side seeks survival, restraint, and freedom from corruption

• The Demon seeks power, domination, and a return to its former rule

Both exist within the same body.
Both are actively fighting for control.

Your decisions—and how you manage time—determine which side ultimately claims Obsidian.

⏳ Time Is the Enemy (Core Mechanic)

You cannot remain in one form indefinitely.

• Human form has a limited duration

• Demon form has a limited duration

• When time expires, transformation occurs automatically

This mechanic forces constant decision-making. You must:

• Plan movement carefully

• Decide when combat is necessary

• Choose when to resist power—and when to embrace it

Poor time management does not merely make the game harder.
It actively pushes the outcome toward one side.

⚔️ Combat With Intent

Combat in Obsidian Divide is deliberate and controlled.

• Press R to enter Combat Mode

• Attacks are only possible while in Combat Mode

• Outside of it, the player cannot fight

This design ensures:

• Intentional encounters

• No accidental combat

• Heightened tension during exploration

Every fight is a conscious decision, not a reflex.

👤 One Body, Two Forms

Human Form

• Limited combat capability

• Safer and more restrained

• Cannot defeat all enemies

• Required to achieve Human Victory

Demon Form

• High damage output

• Necessary against major threats

• Dangerous to remain in for long

• Leads toward Demon Victory

Survival depends on balance.
The ending depends on commitment.

👹 Enemies

Vanguard Soldiers

• Standard enemies encountered throughout the world

• Can be defeated in either form

• Designed to test movement, positioning, and combat fundamentals

Giant Demon

• A constant, unavoidable threat

• Actively follows the player

• Cannot be defeated in Human form

• Forces Demon transformation

• Punishes poor time management

The Giant Demon exists to apply pressure at all times—never allowing complacency.

🔮 Obsidian Seeds (Human Victory Path)

• 7 Obsidian Seeds(Florocent Crystal) are scattered across the world

• Required to complete the seal

• Collecting all of them permanently erases the Demon

Fail to gather them in time, and the Demon will claim control instead.

🔮 Blood Crystal (DemonLord's Victory Path)

• 1 Obsidian Seal(Blood Crystal) are scatter across the world
• Required to complete the seal
• Collecting one of them permanently erases the Human

Fail to gather them in time, and the Human will claim control instead.
